NSW Sponsorship for Australian Skilled Migrants with IT Skills

Many Irish who have experienced living or holidaying in Sydney express a strong desire to live and work in Sydney on a more permanent basis.

Sydney is a big Australian city, bustling, built up and very competitive in most aspect of life, employment, property, cost of living.  This side of Sydney is balanced out by such things as it’s vibrancy, cultural history, famous landmarks and beaches and many other positive features.

In particular visa that NSW would provide sponsorship for is a permanent resident visa which would allow the holder to live and work in Australia indefinitely.  It is called a Skilled (Migrant) Sponsored Visa subclass 176.  The holder of this visa would be obligated to live in NSW for at least 2 years after arriving in Australia.

In the IT industry, there are particular occupations that the NSW government will provide sponsorship for a person who wants to apply for an Australian skilled visa and has the necessary qualifications and work experience to fit the bill.

IT Occupations

Software Designer – with 3 years experience specialising in C++/C~/C
Software Designer – with 3 years experience specialising in SAP, Peoplesoft, Siebel, Oracle E-Business
Systems Manager – with 3 years experience specialising in Oracle, DB2, Sybase SQL Server
Systems Designer –  with 3 years experience specialising in Oracle, DB2, Sybase SQL Server

Each of these occupations require a bachelor degree qualification.

Each IT occupation requires an IELTS test result of 7.0

In the current economic climate and job market, there may well be many skilled Irish professionals who would have the qualifications and work epxerience to suit what NSW is looking for in a potential skilled migrant, particular in the IT industry.
